In January 2020, Dr. Delia Ferri was Visiting Professor (Profesora Visitante) at the Academia Interamericana de Derechos Humanos of the Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila (Mexico). Dr. Ferri taught seminars on economic social and cultural rights of people with disabilities within the module “Derechos Economicos, Sociales y Culturales” in the postgraduate academic program “Maestría en Derechos Humanos con Perspectiva Internacional y Comparada”. The AIDH is one of the most renowned research institute in Mexico, and is dedicated to the study and promotion of human rights. The AIDH delivers specialized training on human rights protection and collaborates with international human rights policy makers, practitioners and academic experts. Dr. Ferri is a Lecturer in Law at Maynooth University Department of Law, and Director of the Law PG Research Programmes. Dr. Ferri’s research focuses on the rights of persons with disabilities from a EU and comparative perspective, and on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
