Dr Brian Flanagan of Maynooth University and Professors Erin Solovey and Daniel Chen of Harvard University win the Best Paper Award at CHIWORK ’25 – 4th Annual Symposium on Human-Computer Interaction for Work

“Interacting with AI at Work: Perceptions and Opportunities from the UK Judiciary” by Dr Brian Flanagan of Maynooth University and Professors Erin Solovey and Daniel Chen of Harvard University has won the Best Paper Award at CHIWORK ’25 – 4th Annual Symposium on Human-Computer Interaction for Work. Selected as the top submission in a field of 79 full papers, (28 accepted), the first-of-its-kind study reveals how judges envision collaborating with AI to streamline case management while safeguarding justice. Thanks to the CHIWORK community for recognising this work and shining a spotlight on the impact of AI on judicial decision-making.
