I received my PhD in Italian studies from the University of Bristol in 2017. My PhD research was conducted as part of the Italian Cinema Audiences project (AHRC, 2013-2016). From 2017-2018, I worked at Oxford Brookes University as a Research Fellow on the Italian Cinema Audiences follow-on project, CineRicordi (AHRC). CineRicordi is an online archive that allows users to explore the history of cinema-going in post-war Italy (1945-1960).

I am currently a CAROLINE fellow at Maynooth University working on the history of cinema-going in 1950s Ireland. The title of my research project is ‘Irish Cinema Audiences (1950-1960): Engaging older audiences and sustaining Ireland’s cultural heritage’. Working in collaboration with Age Action Ireland, this project aims to gather and preserve the cinema-going memories of audiences from the 1950s. For further details and updates about the project, follow Irish Cinema Audiences on Twitter and Facebook
