Biography

I am a palaeoclimatologist working in ICARUS (Irish Climate Research and Analysis Unit) and as lecturer in the Department of Geography Maynooth University. I previously worked at the Norwegian Polar Institute in Tromsø, Norway, carrying out postdoctoral research as part of the OCTEL project investigating global teleconnections between the Southern Ocean and North Atlantic in the past.
My research interests are in using sedimentary archives to develop reconstructions of past storminess and atmospheric circulation, as well as using marine sediments to investigate past sea surface temperature. I am interested in investigating the connections between changes in the atmosphere and the oceans.
