Lisa is a palaeoclimatologist working in ICARUS (Irish Climate Research and Analysis Unit) and as lecturer in the Department of Geography Maynooth University. Lisa previously worked at the Norwegian Polar Institute in Tromsø, Norway, where she carried out postdoctoral research as part of the OCTEL project investigating global teleconnections.
Her research interests are in using sedimentary archives to develop reconstructions of past storminess and atmospheric circulation, as well as using marine sediments to investigate past sea surface temperature. She is interested in investigating the connections between changes in the atmosphere and the oceans.

Lisa currently lectures on modules including Global Environmental Change, Natural Hazards, Living Landscapes and the Ireland fieldtrip.
