Who Wants To Be A Superhero?

Engineering Ireland 2019
Monday, March 4, 2019 - 09:45 to 13:00
Renehan Hall, South Campus, Maynooth University

Just what exactly do scientists and engineers do? How do planes fly?  How can we see through the dust in space? How do engineers make playgrounds safer to play in?  How are they saving the planet?
Engineer's Week is a week long festival of nationwide events celebrating the world of engineering in Ireland.   From spaceships to ice skates, bubbles in chocolate bars, to life saving cancer treatment - Engineering touches every part of our lives.

The Department of Electronic Engineering at Maynooth University annually supports STEPS - (Engineers Ireland) in conjunction with SFI (Science Foundation Ireland) educating primary and post-primary students to explore the world of STEM while also promoting engineering as a career choice.

We look forward to welcoming 450 senior cycle primary school students (7-11year olds) on campus on Monday 4th March next to explore Engineering@MU
