Professor Emeritus John Coolahan is a central figure in educational reform both in Ireland and abroad. His work has profoundly reshaped the educational landscape across four decades from early childhood education through to higher education policy and practice. It has consistently challenged received wisdom and opened up new horizons for the future.
In light of Maynooth University’s 20th anniversary and the upcoming 20th anniversary of the Education Act, we are organizing an event focusing on John’s multifaceted contributions to education with national and international speakers commenting on various aspects of his work.
