Minister Simon Harris congratulates the 17 graduates of the Level-9 Post-Graduate Certificate in Further Education and Training (FET) Programme Design and Validation course

Mr. Simon Harris TD, Minister at the Department for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science joined online with guests to congratulate the seventeen graduates of the first Level-9 Post-Graduate Certificate in Further Education and Training (FET) Programme Design and Validation course on March 11th. The one-year blended learning part-time course was designed to address the needs of FET professionals tasked in their organisation with the redesign of existing FET programmes or, the development of new programmes, including traineeships and apprenticeships, for submission for validation with QQI and other bodies. Guests included Dr May Ryan Department of Adult and Community Education Maynooth University (MU) and Blake Hodkinson, Director of Further Education and Training in CDETB speaking for the Further Education Support Service (FESS), and Mr. Walter Balfe of Quality Qualifications Ireland (QQI). Ms. Trish Gibbons (SIPTU College) and Ms. Fiona Fay (DDETB) spoke for the graduates. They complimented the quality and practicality of the course.
