Michael Leecompleted his PhD at Queen’s University Belfast in 2013, with an interdisciplinary project entitled ‘Tasso’s Armida and the power of fantasy in late seventeenth-century opera’. An adjunct teaching fellow at the School of Creative Arts in Trinity College Dublin since 2015, he has also lectured at Queen’s University Belfast, University College Dublin, and Maynooth University. As a freelance broadcaster and speaker, his work has included presenting concerts and feature programmes to a national audience on RTÉ Lyric fm and giving evening courses in opera studies at the UCD Adult Education Centre. In addition, he writes for the music website Goldenplec.com.
