Our latest Research - The TUTOR Project

Maynooth University, Department of Adult and Community Education begins focus group with teachers for the new European Commission Teachers Academies research project TUTOR - Teachers’ upskilling aiming at a holistic inclusivity in learning in the coming weeks.
 
The TUTOR project aims to develop an European outlook in teacher education focusing upon on inclusivity through innovative and practical collaboration. Specifically TUTOR aims to upskill teachers, who work with students from socio-economically disadvantaged, migrant and LGBTQI+ cohorts.
 
The project intends to contribute to the improvement of teacher education policies and practices in Europe by creating networks and communities that bring together providers of second level and VET teacher education and providers of continuing professional development, and other relevant actors (such as ministries) and stakeholders to develop a Train the Trainers approach and to define a forward-looking strategy upskilling strategy, focused on inclusivity in learning.
