Data Governance and Data for Good

Thursday, October 27, 2022 - 15:00 to 16:30
Online & in person in Eolas Meeting Room 1, 1st Floor, Eolas Building

The webinar will bring together panel of experts and innovators to discuss and expands the view of data towards a societal mission: DATA FOR GOOD.

We aim to discuss opportunities and challenges around data governance and drive the attention to unlock the potential of data ethically and responsibly for the common good.

We will facilitate a debate on various aspects and views around data and safeguarding its use. In-line with the mission of the Innovation Value Institute and as part of the SFI co-funded programme for Data Goverance - EMPOWER, we will discuss how to co-create best data governance practices that increase data sharing with safeguards to establish a trusted and responsible environment that benefits all. With this webinar we envisage that it will help to start unlocking the potential of (open) data by surfacing innovative ideas to tackle some of the social challenges, for example climate, digital transformation and sustainability.
