On Wednesday 23 June, the Co-Editors of the Irish Yearbook of International Law hosted an online panel on careers in international law. The event was primarily aimed at individuals with Irish law degrees but also focused on topics of interest to an international audience such as internships, networking, and educational opportunities.

The event was moderated by lecturer at Maynooth University Department of Law  Dr Bríd Ní Ghráinne. Bríd was joined by four leading international lawyers: Dr Maeve O' Rourke, Dr James Gallen, Stephanie Barbour, and Eoin Murphy. The panelists spoke about their wide-ranging experiences of working in both Ireland and abroad in a broad range of international law settings such as in academia, government, NGOs, international organisations, and the Bar. They answered questions from aspiring international lawyers and shared their tips on getting started in a career in international law.
