    Professor Fiona M. Palmer’s essay, ‘Conductors and Self-Promotion in the British Nineteenth-Century Marketplace’ appears in a volume co-edited by Christina Bashford and Roberta Montemorra Marvin: The Idea of Art Music in a Commercial World, 1800–1930, recently published by the Boydell Press within its Music in Society and Culture Series.

    Chamber Choir World Tour kicks off with Dublin Performance

    The Maynooth University Chamber Choir, which made history last July when it became the first Irish choir to lift the coveted Pavarotti Trophy as “Choir of the World” at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales, will perform in St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York as part of a scheduled World Tour.

    Maynooth University awards 115 Entrance Scholarships

    Maynooth University recognised the achievements of some of Ireland’s brightest and most promising first-year students at a celebration on-campus Tuesday, 3 November, awarding 115 Entrance Scholarships to students who achieved 525 points or more in the Leaving Certificate examination.
