A newly published German-language study of Berlin operetta features a chapter by Maynooth Professor of Music, Christopher Morris. 'Die Operette und die Moderne', a study of operetta's engagement with modern everyday experience, appears in the collection Kunst der Oberfläche: Operette zwischen Bravour und Banalität (Art of Surfaces: Operetta between Bravura and Banality). The book is published in association with a major operetta retrospective at the Komische Oper Berlin held in Spring 2015.
