On Tuesday 26 June, the Russell Library hosted a visit to the reading room by guests from the Embassy of Spain. Dr Gonzalo Capellán de Miguel and Mr Adolfo Carbón visited the library and received a guided tour of the reading room from Special Collections Librarian, Barbara McCormack.
As part of the visit, the guests also received an introduction to the archive of the Irish College in Salamanca by St. Patrick’s College Maynooth Archivist, Anna Porter. The visit was arranged especially by Dr Mercedes Carbayo-Abengózar, Lecturer from the Department of Spanish and Latin American studies in the School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Maynooth University.
