Maynooth University Library, in collaboration with Maynooth Students’ Union, invites submissions of artworks from current students and staff of Maynooth University and St. Patrick’s College, for an exhibition which will run in the Library Foyer from Monday 30 March 2020 to Tuesday 14 April 2020.
Prizes
Maynooth University Art Committee, Maynooth Students’ Union and the University Library will award vouchers for two commended artworks, and a voucher for the artwork voted the most popular by students and staff; there will also be a draw with a prize awarded to one lucky voter.
Submission details
Artworks, safely wrapped, clearly labelled and ready to hang should be submitted to the Library for the attention of Elaine Bean no later than Friday 20 March 2020.
Guidelines and further information
- Artworks are to be signed, framed and made ready for display.
- Please email details of artwork indicating name and email of artist, title of piece, medium and selling price if applicable. If not for sale, indicate NFS. Please also include the above details on a card/label attached to the artwork.
- Two works per individual are permitted.
- A digital version of the exhibition will be created. Artists will be acknowledged. Images of the artworks may be used to promote the exhibition on social media. Please indicate through email if you do not wish to have an image of your artwork included. You may attach images of your artworks to the email which will be used on the digital version. Note: Photograph before glazing to avoid reflections.
- A catalogue will be produced.
- There will be a short prize giving event in the Library (date to be confirmed).
- Artworks will be available for collection on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 April between 10:00-11:00. Please ensure prompt collection.
