These Research Seminars presented by Ciarán Quinn (Research Support Librarian) will cover a range of topics as follows and are open to Research Students,Researchers and Academics.
- Understanding and using Bibliometrics to measure/showcase your Research Performance: Getting the most from Scopus, SciVal, & Web of Science. It will look at Research Metrics from an individual, group and institutional perspective and demonstrate the tools available to generate them. 8th July,10.30am-12.00pm
- Academic Publishing: finding the best Journal to publish in and looking at options for publishing Open Access. This session will include looking at the various tools available to assess Journal Impact which may form part of the decision-making process in selecting where to publish your research output. 9th July, 10.30am-12.00pm
- Using Reference Management Tools (EndNote) to store your References/PDF’s, create Bibliographies , In-Text Citations and Footnotes in your Research Papers in a variety of Referencing Styles. 9th July, 2.30-3.30pm
- Research Data Management: An Introduction to RDM and how to create your own Data Management Plan , 10th July, 10.30am-12.00pm
- Reviewing the Literature: This session will look at a range of different review approaches you might be considering as part of your research process including Lit Reviews, Scoping Reviews, Rapid Reviews and Systematic Reviews. It will also examine the Tools available to assist you in the reviewing process, 11th July, 10.30am-12.00pm.
