Waterford student wins prestigious Family Law prize

This year’s winner of the Walls and Toomey Solicitors Family Law Prize is Ms Kate Daniels, from Earlscourt, Waterford. Now in its third year, the prize is given to the student with the highest annual marks in the Family Law module offered by the Department of Law at Maynooth University in Co. Kildare. Top Dublin family law firm Walls and Toomey, headed by partners Ms Muriel Walls and Mr Grahame Toomey, kindly sponsors the prize.

Having completed the Bachelor of Civil Law in Law and Spanish with first class honours, Kate will graduate from Maynooth University this coming Autumn. She attained first place in a class of over 135 Family Law students, a class taught by Dr Fergus Ryan, senior lecturer at the Department of Law at Maynooth University. Kate has recently commenced work as a law intern with the Workplace Relations Commission in Dublin.
