In Journal of Things We Like Lots, Professor William Baude of University of Chicago Law School, reviews Seth Barrett Tillman’s scholarship discussing the U.S. Constitution's usage in regard to ‘office’ and ‘officer’. Baude concludes that Tillman’s position is not ‘conclusively proven. But at this point, I think [Tillman] has singlehandedly shifted the burden of proof.’

Professor Baude’s article is entitled ‘Constitutional Officers: A Very Close Reading’ and can be read in full online.

Seth Barrett Tillman is a Lecturer in Law at Maynooth University Department of Law where he lectures in Equity and Trusts and in Introduction to the American Legal System at undergraduate level.
