Professor Doherty appeared on Morning Ireland on February 3rd to discuss the recent developments in the industrial disputes involving transport workers and teachers.
Professor Doherty researches widely in the area of industrial relations law and policy and has written and commented extensively on strikes and collective bargaining, including his piece ‘When You Ain't Got Nothin', You Got Nothin' to Lose.... Union Recognition Laws, Voluntarism and the Anglo Model’, published in the Industrial Law Journal.
He is Head of Maynooth University Department of Law and lectures courses to all first year law students on Introduction to Law and Employment Law to BCL/ LLB students.
