Prof Doherty appeared on Newstalk’s Breakfast show on January 11th (part 1) to discuss more industrial unrest at Irish Rail.  Prof Doherty also appeared on East Coast FM’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan to discuss the issue.  
Professor Doherty researches widely in the area of employment law and policy and has written and commented extensively on strikes and collective bargaining. His piece on ‘Employment Relations and the Law’ will appear later this year in The Routledge Companion to Employment Relations.

He is Head of Maynooth University Department of Law and lectures courses to all first year law students on Introduction to Law, as well as Employment Law to BCL/ LLB students.
