Maynooth Law Students Victorious in National Negotiation Competition

Tuesday, March 10, 2015 - 00:00

Maynooth University Department of Law is delighted to announce that two of our students recently won Ireland's National Negotiation Competition.

Seán Grogan (LLM 2016) and Patrick Noctor (LLB 2015) successfully competed against a team representing the King's Inns in the final of the competition, which was held in the Law Society of Ireland on Wednesday, 4 March 2015. Patrick and Seán will go on to represent Ireland in the International Negotiation Competition, which will take place in Dublin this year.

The Department is extremely proud of this win by our students, particularly as it comes shortly after the successful ELSA Maynooth International Negotiation Competition some of our students were involved in organising and which we sponsored.

As Ireland's youngest law school, Maynooth University Department of Law prides itself on being at the forefront of innovation in legal education. This is why we offer modules such as Innovation in Legal Practice, Dispute Resolution, and Advocacy; as well as the classic Moot Court, Legal Skills, and Legal Writing modules. And it is why we encourage our students to - and reward them for - participating in extra-curricular activities, such as the National Negotiation Competition.
