Launch of 'Law & Society in Ireland' Course

We are delighted to announce that we are launching a short free online course on the topic of 'Law & Society in Ireland'. The course explores how law affects our everyday lives and how it can be used to promote equality and human rights.

The Law & Society in Ireland course will commence on the 4th of October 2021, with learners completing the course at their own pace over a 4-week period. Please note that this course does not lead to a qualification and is not credit bearing. Learners will receive a certificate of participation on completion. 

Sample topics include: "Introduction to the Irish Legal System"; "Law, Equality and Human Rights"; "Law and Work", "Law and Property"; and "Crime and Punishment".

We will prioritise applications from people who might otherwise find it difficult to access university-style learning opportunities (e.g., international protection applicants, refugees, carers, older people who have not completed a university qualification).
