This year’s winner of the Walls and Toomey Solicitors Family Law Prize is Ms Beatriz Jimena Tamayo Velasco, from the Universidad de Valladolid in Castile y León, Spain. Now in its fifth year, the prize is awarded to the student with the highest annual mark in the Family Law module offered by the Department of Law at Maynooth University. Top Dublin family law firm Walls and Toomey, headed by partners Ms Muriel Walls and Mr Grahame Toomey, very kindly sponsors the prize.
An international Exchange student at Maynooth University, Beatriz attained first place in a class of over 225 Family Law students taught by Dr Fergus Ryan, associate professor in law at Maynooth University.
