Prof Doherty appeared on several media outlets to discuss the decision of Ryanair pilots across Europe to take strike action. Prof Doherty discussed the issue on Newstalk FM’s Breakfast Show and with Shane Beatty on KFM August 2nd. Prof Doherty also appeared on East Coast FM on August 1st.
Professor Doherty researches widely in the area of industrial relations law and policy and has written and commented extensively on strikes and collective bargaining. Hw has just published a new piece, ‘Employment Relations and the Law’, in The Routledge Companion to Employment Relations.
Prof Doherty is Head of Maynooth University Department of Law and lectures courses to all first year law students on Introduction to Law, as well as Employment Law to BCL/ LLB students.
