Prof. Claire Hamilton delivered a paper (co-authored by Prof. Randy K Lippert, Windsor University) on governing through rights in counter-terrorism. This paper will appear as part of a special issue on 'Governmental Criminology and Human Rights' to be published in Critical Criminology in March 2020.

Dr. Lynsey Black spoke on gender, punishment and post-coloniality in Ireland as part of a panel on 'States of Exception: Penality at the Periphery'.

Siobhan Buckley spoke on measuring punitiveness or harshness in youth justice and young adult justice as part of a pre-arranged panel on 'Transitions' organised by the ESC Thematic Working Group on Juvenile Justice.

Niamh Wade spoke on her work on the feasability of a community court in Ireland.
