Esther Lynch has been elected as Confederal Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) at its 13th Congress.
An Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law, Esther is Head of Legal and Social Affairs at the Irish Congress Trade Unions (ICTU) where she has worked for almost two decades. The ETUC defends fundamental social values such as solidarity, equality, democracy, social justice and cohesion. It aims to ensure that the EU is not just a single market for goods and services, but is also a Social Europe, where improving the wellbeing of workers and their families is an equally important priority.
