On December 16th, Dr Maria Helen Murphy was interviewed about the topic of "fake news" on Brainstorm, a new show on RTÉ Radio One.
The Brainstorm show is designed to facilitate the communication of academic research to a wider audience. Also speaking on the panel were Frank Crowley and Vittorio Bufacchi (UCC) and Gillian O'Brien (Liverpool John Moores University).
Dr Murphy had previously published an article on the Brainstorm website that examined some of the issues raised by the spread of disinformation. The episode can be listened back to on the RTÉ website.
