Dr Lynsey Black was invited to speak as part of the Irish Legal History Society's Winter Discourse 2020

Lynsey spoke about the challenges of undertaking research through the restrictions of 2020, as well as avenues for the future of legal history, including the use of oral history methodology and researching the histories of crime and punishment. At the 2020 AGM, Lynsey was also voted onto the Council of the Irish Legal History Society.

Dr Lynsey Black is a lecturer in the Department of Law. She teaches modules in Gender & Crime and Gender & Criminal Justice and researches in the areas of gender and punishment, the death penalty, historical criminology, and postcolonial criminology.
