Dr Ferri Presents at Final DISCIT Conference

Dr Delia Ferri recently took part in the final conference of the FP7 Project ‘DISCIT – Making Persons with Disabilities Full Citizens’. 

The conference took place in Brussels on 9 and 10 November 2015, with Delia presenting on accessible technology law. At the conference, researchers from the project, civil society organisations, leading scholars in the field, and various policy makers discussed the findings from the project and their potential impact on EU policy.
 
Dr Ferri will also be editing the ‘Accomplishing Active Citizenship in a European Multilevel System’ volume, with Jerome Bickenbach, Rune Halvorsen, Bjørn Hvinden, and Ana Marta Guillén Rodriguez, which will be published in 2016 by Routledge.
 
Before joining Maynooth University in September 2014, Dr Ferri was the lead researcher in Work Package 7 ‘Accessible Technology for Persons with Disabilities’ within the Centre for Disability Law and Policy of NUI Galway.
 
Dr Ferri is now a lecturer at Maynooth University Department of Law, where she lectures in EU Law and in International and European Disability Law and Policy.
