Dr Clíodhna Murphy Joins Department of Law

Clíodhna joined Maynooth University Department of Law in 2014, having previously lectured in Dublin City University and held a post-doctoral fellowship in University College Cork. She has also taught classes in Trinity College Dublin, Sciences-Po (Paris) and the China University of Politics and Law (Beijing). She lectures and researches in the areas of migration law, human rights, international law, and company law.

Clíodhna completed her PhD at Trinity College Dublin, having been awarded an Ussher Fellowship from Trinity College to complete her doctoral work. She graduated from Law and French in Trinity College in 2004, and was awarded gold medal on graduation. Clíodhna's first book, "Immigration, Integration and the Law: The Intersection of Domestic, EU and International Regimes" was published with Ashgate in 2013. She is also a qualified solicitor. Clíodhna welcomes research proposals, particularly in the areas of migration and asylum law, and human rights law.
