Dr Bríd Ní Ghráinne recently appeared on TG4's main news programme to discuss the ramifications of Israel's attacks on Gaza. Dr Ní Ghráinne explained (as Gaeilge/ in Irish) the human rights and humanitarian law framework applicable to the conflict. She argued that Israel's use of force was disproportionate and indiscriminate, and hence a violation of international law. Dr Ní Ghráinne is a Lecturer in International Justice at Maynooth University Department of Law and an expert in Public International Law, Human Rights, and Forced Migration. She regularly provides commentary on these topics in both English and Irish national media. Her monograph, Internally Displaced Persons and International Refugee Law, will shortly be published by Oxford University Press.
