On 2 September, Dr Amina Adanan co-presented a paper entitled ‘Passing the baton of international justice: The ICC and Universal Jurisdiction’ with Dr Mark Chadwick of Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University. This joint research examines the relationship between universal jurisdiction and the International Criminal Court (ICC). In particular, it explores situations where both the ICC and a third party State prosecute the same mass atrocity. This research is part funded by the Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute Visiting Fellowship.
 
Dr Amina Adanan is Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Maynooth University Law Department. She teaches International Criminal Law on the LL.M programmes in Maynooth University.
