Criminal Law Forum held on Saturday 20th October

Friday, November 16, 2018 - 14:15

The Criminal Law Forum, coordinated by Maynooth University Department of Law, held its second meeting of 2018 in University College Cork on Saturday, 20th October. The Forum aims to provide a space for the cross-fertilization of knowledge and ideas between practitioners and academics working in the broad criminal justice area. This meeting of the Forum was hosted by Prof. Ursula Kilkelly, Dean, School of Law, UCC who delivered a presentation entitled 'Irish Youth Justice: Potential for Reform and Legal Challenge'.

The Forum was established by Una ni Raifeartaigh, now a judge of the Irish High Court, and Niamh Maguire, Waterford Institute of Technology.

The Department of Law in Maynooth was very pleased to be invited by Judge ni Raifeartaigh to coordinate the Forum into the future, particularly given that the Judge is now one of our Adjunct Professors of Law here in Maynooth.
