Maynooth University Law Department hosts Crime and Security lecture by expert Prof David Nelken

The Crime and Security Research Group and Department of Law, Maynooth University is delighted to be hosting Professor David Nelken, Professor of Comparative and Transnational Law in the Dickson Poon Law School, King's College London on Thursday 7th March. Prof. Nelken will be speaking in SE014, (new) Education Building at 6pm on 'Getting away with murder? Understanding leniency in Italian juvenile justice'.

Prof. Nelken has published widely in the areas of comparative sociology of law, criminology and legal and social theory. His awards include: American Sociological Association Distinguished Scholar Award (1985), Sellin-Glueck International Award of the American Criminological Society (2009) and Law and Society (USA) International Scholar Award (2013). He was recently appointed to the REF sub-panel for law in the UK.
