Dr. Ashley T. Rubin will be giving an Invited Talk this Thursday 11 February from 5-6pm for Dr. Ciara Bracken-Roche's Beyond the Prison Course - LW 274. Dr. Rubin is an assistant professor in the Sociology Department at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa whose work is renowned for its assessment of prisons and punishment in a historical context and will draw on this expertise in the invited talk. Dr. Rubin's most recent book, The Deviant Prison, was released this month! We are very lucky to have her speak to faculty, staff, and students here at Maynooth University.
