Internationalisation of the Curriculum

Thursday, November 23, 2017 - 09:45

As part of its strategic mission to promote internationalisation at MU, the International Office is planning a series of lectures and seminars on key topics in the internationalisation of higher education.

The first event, a seminar entitled “Internationalisation of the Curriculum”, took place on Thursday, 16th November. This seminar was facilitated by Professors Elspeth Jones (Emerita Professor of the Internationalisation of Higher Education at Leeds Beckett University - UK) and Betty Leask ( Professor of Internationalisation and Pro Vice-Chancellor Teaching and Learning at La Trobe University - Australia).
About 25 academic and administrative staff signed up to participate to this seminar which allowed them to discuss how internationalisation of the curriculum has been interpreted and implemented in different universities across the world, the roles of different groups involved in the process of internationalising the curriculum (e.g. academic staff, students and international office staff) and possible future strategic and practical directions and opportunities at MU.

The International Office would like to thank again Elspeth and Betty for their brilliant facilitation as well as all the participants which have made the event a great success.
