Dr. Paul O'Keeffe from the Department of International Development has published a chapter on higher education access for LGBTIQ refugees in the recently published book Migration, Displacement, and Higher Education: Now What? This open access book is part of the Political Pedagogies series and brings leading international experts on migration, displacement and education together to explore issues relating to education in exile and proposes solutions on how the international education for development community can assist displaced people to move forward. Writing alongside Dr. Djemila Carron from the University of Quebec, Montreal, Dr. O'Keeffe explores the difficulties LGBTIQ refugees in Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya face in accessing even the most basic of services and their struggles to achieve acceptance from the wider refugee community and the forced migration management system in which they find themselves caught up in. Published by Palgrave Macmillan and edited by Brittany Murray, Matthew Brill-Carlat and Maria Höhn, the book is available at https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-12350-4
