Lecturer in Applied Psychology - Department of Psychology

We are seeking an experienced applied psychologist to help build our presence in interdisciplinary, policy-focussed, EU-funded collaborative research programmes linked to priority research areas for the university. Areas that we are seeking to develop and build upon include major societal challenges such as: terrorism and counter-terrorism, conflict resolution, crisis management, and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to secure independent EU funding, to carry out successful programmes resulting in impactful policy initiatives, and to develop and lead significant international multidisciplinary research consortia towards global challenges. The appointee will also contribute to teaching in the various psychology programmes offered by the university, as well as supervision of masters and PhD students.
The appointee will be expected to have a significant track record of external funding (>€500k), including EU funding, in recent years.
The appointee will be expected to build a strong research profile, that supports the University’s research strategy including affiliating to the Research Institutes, where appropriate and working with colleagues on national and international research. The appointee will be expected to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance and generate publications of international standard.
