EU Project Administrator - Department of Geography (13 Month Contract)

We are seeking an Administrative Officer for a fixed-term appointment for 13 months at a 0.7 appointment (3 ½ days per week equivalent) to provide support to the Horizon 2020 funded GAIA-CLIM project (www.gaia-clim.eu). The GAIA-CLIM project brings together a consortium of 18 partners from across Europe to further the use and utility of surface, weather balloon and aircraft data to characterise satellite data. Partners include the UK Met Office, EUMETSAT and the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (ECMWF). Prof. Peter Thorne is the scientific project lead, and the project administrator shall provide technical and administrative support to the project. The role shall include facilitation of project actvities and interactions with the coordinating institute, NERSC (in Norway), and the project partners. An ability to undertake limited travel (maximum of 4 trips, all within Europe) will be required to attend at a minimum a user workshop and a project General Assembly.
