Dr. Louise Fitzgerald has been awarded €157,880 funding by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) for the project REDIE: Realising Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for Energy sector transformation. Dr. Fitzgerald is PI of the project, with Project Partner Prof. Anna Davies, Trinity College Dublin and Project Collaborators Prof. Jennie Stephens, Northeastern University, USA and Dr. Alex O’ Cinneide, Gore Street Capital.
REDIE will develop an innovative framework for accessing Equality Diversity Inclusion (EDI) in the energy sector and beyond, drawing together scholarly literature with emerging best practice for analysing and promoting EDI in the energy sector. REDIE will generate critical knowledge and resources to support policy makers and public bodies to develop interventions that are both effective (meeting targets) and just, as well as providing recommendations and knowledge resources for enhancing and harnessing EDI to achieve Ireland’s climate targets.
