Chris van Egeraat, Rowan Fealy, Ronan Foley, and Conor Murphy have each been promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
Mary Gilmartin, Jan Rigby and Karen Till have each been made Professor. I am delighted for each of them.
This is well deserved recognition of excellence in research, inspiration in teaching, and diligence in service.
It is particularly gratifying that Irish Geography now has four female professors of Geography and although this is far short of equity we can be pleased that Maynooth plays a part in redressing an evident injustice
