Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education wins Best Online Experience Award

Maynooth University's Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education, as part of the LINC consortium received one of the 12 trophies presented to the winners from across Ireland's education sector at the inaugural gala awards ceremony on the Thursday, 25 May, at the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin.  The LINC consortium with Mary Immaculate College and Early Childhood Ireland won the category of Best Online Experience Award at the Education Awards. Maynooth University's Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education, Mary Immaculate College and Early Childhood Ireland,  comprise the three partners of the consortium awarded the contract from the Higher Education Authority for the delivery of the Leadership for Inclusion in the Early Years Programme (LINC).

 
All three consortium members are committed to research in the area of early years’ education and special education and have been involved in a wide range of research related to the areas of both early years’ education and special education. In addition, Froebel Dept and Mary Immaculate College are in a position to facilitate students in progressing on the National Qualifications’ Framework (NFQ) through entry into higher education early childhood care and education (ECCE) programmes at Level 7/8 on the NFQ Framework.

The Education Awards recognise, encourage and celebrate excellence in the third level education sector on the island of Ireland from both State and privately funded institutions.
