Biography

    I am a Senior Postdoctoral in the Department of Geography, ICARUS at Maynooth University and started work here in August 2019. I completed my PhD in Hydrology at the Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran in 2010 and worked at Shahrood University of Technology as an Associate/Assistant Professor before joining Maynooth University. 

    I currently research on seasonal hydrological forecasting for Irish river catchments using statistical and dynamical approaches.

    My main research interests are: 1- Investigating different hydrological cycle components including rainfall, surface runoff and soil moisture. 2- Rainfall-runoff and rainfall generation models 3- Flood forecasting and warning systems 4- Drought analysis and forecasting 5- Uncertainties associated to hydroloclimatological data and modeling 6- Application of GIS and RS in hydrology and 7- Application of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods in hydrology.
