Prof Michael Doherty has published a new piece,  “Solving the ‘Gig-saw’? Collective Rights and Platform Work” in the Industrial Law Journal. The piece is co-authored with Dr Valentina Franca, of the University of Ljubljana.
The article looks at the issue of how collective bargaining may function in the ‘platform economy’, and the role of collective labour law actors, most notably the social partners.
Prof Doherty is Head of Maynooth University Department of Law and lectures courses to all first year law students on Introduction to Law, as well as Employment Law to LLB students.
