Maynooth University Law Department was delighted when five members of staff were awarded Irish Research Council New Foundations awards, the highest number of awards for any Law School in the country.

    Prof Michael Doherty, Head of Department, was 'especially pleased that this amazing achievement coincides with our 10th birthday. We are the youngest Law Department in Ireland, and started our Criminology programme in 2016. To achieve this funding success, in addition to Professor Ferri's European Research Council Consolidator award in late-2019, clearly marks out Maynooth Law as a leading centre for legal and criminological research in Europe'.

    Maynooth Law is in the process of hiring several new members of staff, in the areas of law, criminology, and criminal justice.
