The Department of Chemistry hosted the 1st Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Chemistry Student Showcase on Thursday 13th, March.  The showcase began with two short talks from 4th year students on their placement, followed by one presentation by 3rd year students on their WIKI facilitated anti-malaria project.  After the presentations, the showcase was moved to the Science building where 1st year students presented posters to attendees.  The best poster presentation was judged by the 2nd year students and was awarded a prize.  The afternoon was a very enjoyable and educational experience and we were delighted to welcome both the President of the university Professor Philip Nolan and the Registrar Professor Aidan Mulkeen to the afternoons events.
