Abstract: the seminar deals with investigating the physics of atmospheric waves with radars and satellites over the Southern Ocean. Atmospheric waves will be introduced, and it will be explain why they are important.  The seminar will explain why that region of the Earth is particularly interesting and will describe some of the recent experimental work carried out in field campaigns.
