                                                                  29th February 2024 / 31st October 2024

These are the latest dates for submission of Doctorate/Research Masters theses for the Academic Year 2023/2024 without incurring further registration and fees for the next semester.

    ***********************************************************************************************************

    1. Intention to Submit:

    • Students should email the completed forms to the Records Office (registration@mu.ie) for approval. The Records Office will then forward the forms to the Fees Office for confirmation that fees are in order. When clearance has been received from both offices, the Fees Office will send the completed forms to the Examinations Office and copy the student on same.
    • Please note: If the Examinations Office does not receive fully signed off forms prior to the submission deadline the thesis will not be processed. Please ensure that the completed forms are emailed to the Records Office a minimum of two weeks prior to the deadline to ensure sufficient time for processing.

    2. E-thesis Submission For Examination:

    ***********************************************************************************************************

    3. Final Hardbound Submission:

    • Following examination and approval of corrections (if applicable), the Examinations Office will contact students directly with instructions for submitting hardbound copies of the thesis to our office.
    • Doctorate Students are required to submit 3 hardbound copies of the final corrected thesis with a copy in one pdf file on CD/USB for the library.
    • Research Masters Students are required to submit 2 hardbound copies of the final corrected thesis with a copy in one pdf file on CD/USB for the library.

You can find guidance on formatting and the presentation of your final thesis below under the relevant research tab.
