In June 1999 NATO forces compelled a defeated Serbia to withdraw from Kosovo. This signalled the rapid return of up to a million Kosovar Albanian refugees to their homeland after the ethnic cleansing campaign waged by the regime of Slobodan Milosevic had forced the majority population to flee their homes.
For many it was a bitter moment.
In the village of Krushe y Vogel mothers and wives searched in vain for their missing menfolk. This Royal Television Society Award winning film identifies who was responsible for the " disappearance" of 112 men and boys from the face of the earth.
