Welcome. This is what you need to do...
This year we would like you to enter your idea through our online Moodle form. To get started we need an insight in to the following topics:
- What is the problem that your idea solves
- What is your BIG idea
- What makes your idea unique
- What are the advantages to your target audience
The sooner you submit your idea the sooner we can help you develop a winning plan around it. There are lots of ways we can help you including mentoring, workshops and downloadable templates for your idea.
You need to join us on our "EDEN Centre" Moodle page to be able to enter this challenge.
Let us help you succeed
We are excited to work with you to refine your idea for presentation. We will provide a Project Plan for your idea on Moodle. This is like a simplified business plan and it helps you to explore your idea more in-depth for presenting it to investors.
Fill it in to win
We advise that you start filling in this form soon and gradually build on your entry over the next couple of months. We are happy to meet with you to discuss your idea and how it could be presented and there will be workshops dedicated to helping you with your final entry.
The Perfect Pitch
Alongside your Project Plan we will need you to create a pitch for your idea. A pitch is a short presentation of your idea that provides an overview of your plan. It is meant to grab the attention of our judges and entice them to ask questions about your idea.
Make an impression to WIN
The pitch is extremely important and a good slide deck is the first step to building your confidence when you are standing in front of the judges. This year we are providing you with a template pitch so that you understand how to lay out your content., available on Moodle. We urge you to personalise your pitch and tailor your presentation to your project. The presentations are capped at 15 minutes and this template is designed to help you stick to that time limit.
Do you struggle to put pen to paper? Do you find it hard to get your personality across in writing? Do you wish you could communicate your ideas or tell a compelling story more effectively rather than just writing an answer to a problem? Come along to this workshop and learn how communicate your ideas visually.
